Registration Process

 Young Learners 2026-20267 Registration Information

Registration begins at Young Learners Academy for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year on January 20, 2026, for current YLA families, on January 26th for Church members and families. All other spots will be available to the public on February 2, 2026, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Our program is tailored to offer young children (ages 1-4) and their families a captivating and enriching learning experience that fosters their development and growth in a Christian environment. Our classrooms maintain a small teacher to student ratio for a more one-on-one learning environment to ensure quality attention for each child.  

Our class ratios are as follows; 
Younger One’s Class – 8 students to 2 teachers
Older One’s Class – 10 students to 2 teachers
Two’s Classes –  11 students to 2 teachers
Three’s Classes – 12 students to 2 teachers 
Pre-K Class – 8 students to 1 teacher or 9-12 students to 2 teachers 

Our curriculum aligns with the GA Bright from the Start standards and incorporates the Orange Children’s Ministry Curriculum to help our children better understand God’s teachings and their place in the world. If you would like to tour our school, please do not hesitate to schedule a tour with our YLA Director, Kathryn Prothro, at kprothro@thomasvillefirstmethodist.com. To register your child, submit the completed registration form and a non-refundable $150 registration fee. You can mail this to P. O. Box 975, Thomasville, GA 31779, or drop it off at our church office at 425 North Broad Street, Thomasville, GA.

Upon receipt of your registration materials, we will mail you a receipt and provide further information regarding the Back-to-School packet that will go out to parents in July.
